We will be covering the basics of cloud computing by exploring the AWS Educate Program and cover some hands-on practice.

What is the "Cloud"?

Ever wonder how large companies such as Apple and Microsoft are able to keep their websites running with millions of users. Since the traditional ways of buying data centers are becoming costly for both companies and the regular people, the cloud is becoming their home. Cloud computing is a simple way to host an application by simply renting services for much more affordable costs. It consists of Servers, Databases, Storages, Firewalls, DNS, Analytics, and many other interesting and useful services. Cloud computing is used in a lot of professions other than CS such as business, healthcare, teaching, accounting, law, etc.
